Laura Norman,

Class of 2026

Editor-in-Chief & Treasurer,

Psychology Major and Global Health Minor

During my freshman year, I developed a strong interest in global health and reproductive health disparities. I also learned how race intersects with various aspects of reproductive health, including STI incidence rates, maternal and child mortality, and sexual assault incidence rates—a fact that is particularly relevant to me as a black woman. The Flow provided me with the ideal platform to explore my interests in reproductive health and wellness, educate myself and others on topics they may not have explored otherwise, and improve my writing abilities.

Vivian Apple,

Class of 2026,

Editor-In-Chief & Publisher,

Chemistry and

Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (Chinese) Majors

A voracious reader since childhood, I have always been encouraged to learn about the world around me through stories. My pursuit for new stories has influenced me to seek out accounts of often overlooked narrators: people of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and in particular, women. The Flow provides a creative outlet for me to not only explore my own identity as a cis-gender woman, but learn with fellow women and allies about how to address important issues such as gender equality and reproductive health and rights.

Chinelo Agwuegbo,

Class of 2026

Magazine Editor,

Chemistry Major

Because of my personal experiences with global health and health disparities in under-resourced communities, I developed an interest in global and reproductive health. Inspired by the women in my family, I aim to bridge the gap in reproductive healthcare, and I believe the Flow helps bring awareness to those issues.

Sofia Chodri,

Class of 2025,

Co-Journal Director,

Program 2: Women’s Health Disparities, Innovations, and Implementation

My interest in women’s health developed from my personal experiences growing up in rural North Carolina, as well as the experiences of the women in my family. Outside of The Flow, I enjoy going to the farmer’s market, trying new foods, and listening to RnB!

Vidita Shah,

Class of 2025,

Co-Journal Director,

Biology Major

I’m a senior and biology major. On a broad scale, I am interested in menstrual health and hygiene as well as reproductive health education in South Asia. As a biology major, I am also interested in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that contribute to reproductive health in order to hopefully better understand female reproduction.
